Submission of Postings
Users who are granted posting access to any of the forums, will be presented with a postings screen as shown here - note that different layouts may apply on different forums, but in principle this is how it looks:

In this example, the user has not logged in and is not known to the system. Thus can a user post to a Public forum.
In the example below, the user has logged in and username and email address are coded into the form:

The posting form is largely self-explanatory, but note the following points:
The 'emoticons' which can be used to express opinions in the messages, are not defined as to their meaning. Please use them in a manner which will be meaningful to other users of the forums!
The poster may be given the option of being notified upon reply to the message, but the forum moderator may disallow this option.
In most forums the user has the option to upload a file attachment to their message. The permissable size of that attachment is defined per forum, but should in no case be larger than 2Mb.
Also, it is necessary to 'Send file' before submission of the posting form:

File attachments are posted by HTTP rather than FTP, so may be slow. Particularly on a modem line you should be aware of the delay which can result.
The submission of an attachment will request confirmation; after the upload, you will see that the form is modified to show the completed upload:
Submission of the completed form will give you an acceptance message, and should then take you back to the forum listings:
